"Meet Death" advert

Yes, I know it's actually Dream of the Endless, but 'Death'

sounded so much more spectacular, and Dream was the

more recognizable--and co-paid advertisement figure

available--so it was a bit of a fudge!

This is one of my ads for the shop, back in the day.

I can't recall offhand which publication;

probably a music venue or alternative weekly.

I'm very proud of the feel I created for the store,

and for the enthusiastic response I received

(much to the Haterz' chagrin!)

A very nice piece written up by a pleasant young woman.

Despite a small handful of the inevitable misquotes or

inappropriate titles, one of the better coverages I've seen

from a non-comics person!

Rogue print by Paul Ryan

During a Tampa comic book convention back in 1993 or 1994,

I purchased a print of a "Rogue" sketch done by Paul Ryan

(the good one!) and had him sign it to The Outpost!

It's one of my favorite keepsakes, even though not an original

piece! (I also got my Squadron Supreme graphic novel and

D.P. 7 # 1 signed by Paul, who was quite a nice guy!)

Ty Templeton is definitely the man, and here he

is rocking the newsprint with an

incredible pin-up for the Legion of

Super-Villains for one of the follow-up "Who's Who?"
DC encyclopedia series.

Each character meticulously crafted and with an

entire history on their face!

Way to go, bro!
